CARP RIVER RESTORATION

The Carp River Restoration Stage 1 involves realignment of the Carp River in a new meandering channel from the Richardson Side Road to the 417, along with a Habitat Pond and five wet meadows.  A pathway will follow the river and cross at two locations – one near Kanata Ave. and the other near the 417.  This work will take about a year to complete. The project will be constructed in two phases:

  • Phase 1 Richardson Side Road to Highway 417: Substantial completion by the end of 2016;
  • Phase 2 Highway 417 to Hazeldean Road: Substantial completion by the end of 2017; and
  • Project wrap up in 2018.
