Bill Teron Tribute Service

BILL TERON TRIBUTE
MONDAY APRIL 30, 7 PM
BROOKSTREET HOTEL, 525 LEGGET DR.

Our family settled in Kanata because we were so taken by Bill Teron’s concept of a garden city, where nature and urban development could be in harmony, that we could go nowhere else. That’s why I became involved in the community and remain so to this day. I’m pleased to be working with the Beaverbrook Community Association and members of Bill’s family to recognize and celebrate the contributions made by Bill Teron as the founder of Kanata. As well as his contributions to the community, Bill did many other things serving Canada and worldwide. Together we have organized a celebration of Bill’s life and accomplishments, with mementos, photographs, music, brief tributes and reminiscences to honour a great Canadian. The event is open to the public but we ask you to RSVP at kanatanorth@ottawa.ca or by calling my office so we’ll know how many are coming. (If you forgot to do so please join us anyway).  I have been asked to speak about Bill’s role in creating Kanata and would appreciate hearing from you about your memories as well.
