On December 25th, major changes will occur due to the opening of the Innovation Park and Ride, changes in fares (no express fares) and preparing for the LRT at Tunneys Pasture in 2018. As a result of input at the public meeting in August, and feedback that was sent directly to OC Transpo, some changes have been made to the original proposal. Full details will be on my website by the end of the week.
In summary, buses that were to go along Brady will now only do so Monday to Friday from about 6:30 am to 9 pm. They will not run late evenings and weekends. The 93 will be cancelled. Bus numbers will be changing to 63 and 64, which will be all-day routes serving the business park as well as Morgan’s Grant and Briarbrook. The 63 and 64 will go downtown in the morning rush and from downtown in the evening. The rest of the days and weekends they will go to Lincoln Fields. The 165 will run during off-peak hours Monday to Friday and will now include stops in Briarbrook as well as Morgan’s Grant. The 264 replaces the express route in the Richardson Ridge and Goldridge area and will take passengers from Terry Fox Station to and from downtown. The 182 will go from 4 to 12 buses in the morning and afternoon peak hours, and serve the east part of Terry Fox to 2500 Solandt. Five 63 buses will go from the Eagleson Park and Ride to the Business Park in the morning rush hour. Innovation Drive will now get all-day service on weekdays.
There are many changes, so when detailed maps and routes are available in November please check them carefully on the OC Transpo website.
