PUBLIC MEETING – BUS SERVICE & CHANGES TO BUS ROUTES
Thursday August 18, 7-9 pm
Richcraft Recreation Complex Kanata (Minto Room)
4101 Innovation Drive

Due to the new Park & Ride that is currently under construction in Kanata North (on Innovation Drive); bus routes to service the new station (Innovation Station) will undergo major changes starting January 1st, 2017 (temporary connections will occur if the Park & Ride is completed earlier). A City wide change in January 2017 will eliminate express fares so all of these routes will be regular fare for everyone.  The new rush hour routes will follow a March/Teron Road route in rush hours. They will also provide all-day access providing service along Flamborough Way to and from the Park & Ride. The present 64 will be renumbered with a start at Huntsville and will serve the Terry Fox Park & Ride before going downtown. The 165 route will be extended to link with the Briarbrook community and Kanata Centrum. The 182 will have extended trips to Kanata North to improve connections to employment areas. The objectives of these changes include; improved service for Morgan’s Grant and Briarbrook residents, new direct service from Innovation station to downtown, increased service levels and these routes in 2018 will network to the LRT at Tunney’s Pasture. Details on these changes will be available at my picnic, on takeaways on the busses and will be posted on my website. Attend the meeting on Aug. 18th to make your final comments and suggestions, if possible send them in earlier on the comment form at OCtranspo.com and to marianne.wilkinson@ottawa.ca.
