Summer Student Opportunity


Location:  Working from the Richcraft Recreation Complex-Kanata, 4101 Innovation Drive, Kanata
Duration:  Twelve weeks, 35 hours per week
Reimbursement:  $11 per hour.  Will be provided with t-shirts, hats, gloves and required equipment.
Student to Provide: cell phone (honorarium provided towards operating costs), own boots.

Duties:  assist in creating and maintaining trails in the natural environment area; identification and removal of invasive species where required; tours with children from City Day Camp Programs; work with youth in the community to introduce them to nature; evaluate activities towards setting up an ongoing program; assisting at special events in the community.

The Junior Rangers will be assisted by volunteers in the community and the Youth Coordinator at the Richcraft Complex.  The program is sponsored by Councillor Marianne Wilkinson and members of the community group that works with the Richcraft Recreation Complex-Kanata
