Ottawa Health Day is on October 17th, and several educational, fun and activity-based events are taking place that day to encourage Ottawa residents to work towards achieving the best health possible. Councillor Diane Holmes, Chair of the Board of Health, invites you, your family, neighbours and friends to the proclamation of Ottawa Health Day at Marion Dewer Plaza, City Hall, at 11:45a.m.
Then, all are welcome to take part in Run Ottawa for a 5k walk/run/roll, which departs from Marion Dewer Plaza at Noon. Registration is free and available at Ottawa.ca/HealthDay.
Janet Podleski, co-author of the Looneyspoons Collection of recipe books, Food Network TV host and Registered Holistic Nutritionist, will be giving a free evening of entertainment and advice on creating and maintaining good health. See Janet Podleski at Centrepointe Theature at 7:00p.m. To register for this event, please visit Ottawa.ca/HealthDay. As well, those who attend are invited to provide food or cash donations to the Kanata Food Cupboard.
You are also invited to join a Twitter discussion to talk about and share ideas on what makes one healthy (#feelgood).
