Suburban Design Guidelines for Kanata

Suburban Subdivision Design Guidelines Study for kanata – WHAT WILL OUR COMMUNITIES LOOK LIKE?
Public Consultation,Thursday, October 17th, 7:00p.m. – 8:30p.m.
Kanata Recreation Centre, 100 Walter Baker Place (off Terry Fox)

The City is reviewing subdivision guidelines for areas outside the Greenbelt. With higher densities, smaller lot sizes, parking congestion, lack of sidewalks, no space for trees or snow storage, as well as street lighting and utility placement issues, it is not surprising that some conflicts have occurred. The team of consultants working on these guidelines come from across Canada to provide detailed recommendations of future developments such as the planned community along March Road.

Plan to attend the Open House on the Transportation Master Plan, and then come to this session to see how it can be put into practise.  Join me there to put forward your ideas so that future developments will not experience some of the issues that we are facing with our current developments.
